4. COMMUNICATION:

Basic mobility within the community and from one community to another is an essential need to improve the social condition of the people living in utmost areas. It is quite common that most of the isolated and remote communities do not have proper access to the rest of the world. As a result they continue to live in isolation with ignorance, illiteracy and different mindset developed by negative attitude. It not only affects their living condition but also there is a danger that they become anti-social elements. These conditions do lead to the mismanagement of their land, human and other resources in the name of exploitation.

Accordingly, ASSIST by strengthening the respective People’s Organisations tries to improve their accessibility and contact to the rest of the world to widen their knowledge and to enable them to lead a better life. It could be in the formation of internal roads, access to the nearby main roads, and access to their work places, postal, radio and telecommunications.
